A Prayer During This Pandemic

Dearest Heavenly Father, thank You for all the wonderful Blessings You give us each and every day.  LORD thank You for Your Grace and Mercy and Forgiveness You give to us through Your Son Jesus.

LORD, we are facing a terrible crisis known to us as COVID-19, I know You know all about it.  LORD I'm asking you to help us to contain and concur with this virus and that you give healing to those who have contracted this virus and give protection to those who do not have it. LORD, please bring our spirits together even though we cannot come together physically.

LORD, we pray that you will grant wisdom to our leaders in this time of crisis!

LORD, thank You for hearing this and all our prayers. We know we are not worthy but we also know how Loving You are. We know that only through You, can we overcome this pandemic. We pray this prayer in the Mighty and Glorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

A Great Read Classmates!

The reports are that the truckers are getting supplies to the stores. People are stocking shelves all night and letting old people shop first. Carnival cruise line told Trump we can match those big Navy Hospital ships Comfort and Mercy with some fully staffed cruise ships. GM said to hold our cars watch this, we can make those ventilators starting next week where we were making cars. Restaurants said mmmm, we have kitchens and staff we can feed kids. NBA basketball players said, hold our basketballs while we write checks to pay the arena staff. Construction companies said here are some masks for the medical staff and doctors. Two Democrat Governors were told we will make it happen by a Republican President who has fought with them for three and a half years. Yes, we are a nation divided. We are a bunch of woosies who can’t live without baseball, NASCAR, NBA or going to the beach or a bar.

A TN company, Old Glory Whiskey, saw a need and volunteered to change from whiskey making to make hand sanitizers. Work is in progress to be an approved manufacturing source.

A Japanese admiral in the middle of the Pacific said it best in 1941, "I think we have awakened a sleeping giant."

What communist China didn't count on was America saying "Hey hold my beer and watch this."

Give us two weeks and we will be more than ok.

Sharing this from a FB friend. We have a wonderful country and an amazing God. I know we will be ok.πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ™πŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Father Of My Children Died

Early this morning I received a call from my daughter that her Dad, Jesse Aaron Boyd, Jr., passed away in his sleep.  He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School in the Class of 1952.  We were married for 14 years and had five children together; four daughters and a son that passed away with lung disease 19 hours after birth.  This picture was taken while we were dating.  He was 86 years old, never remarried and was a devout Catholic.  He will be missed by the whole family.  Rest in peace, Jesse.

Jesse A. Boyd, Jr., died Wednesday, March 18, 2020.  He was 86. He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School (Class 1952).  Jesse was employed by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was the son of the late Jesse A. Boyd, Sr., and Minnie Miles Boyd.  He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William David Boyd.  Survivors include his daughters, Theresa Bryant, Kathleen Day, Debra Seage of Magee, MS and Marian Nicholas of Fredericksburg, VA; six granddaughters, three grandsons, and four great-grandsons.  A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Father Rusty Vincent officiating.
