Class of 1959

We, the Class of 1959, celebrated our 50th reunion on April 24 and 25, 2009. This blog is about sharing memories of our class reunions and a long-ago life at our Alma Mater, S.F.X.A. and S.A.H.S. Good memories of days gone by but not forgotten! A gift to my classmates. ~Marian Ann Love ~

Prayer for Peace and Contentment

At 85, finding deep peace and contentment in God’s presence is a profound blessing, especially as life’s circumstances naturally change. This prayer is for those seeking inner tranquility and a settled heart, regardless of external situations. It’s a heartfelt request for God’s peace, which surpasses all human understanding, to fill the soul and bring a lasting sense of satisfaction that can only be found in Him.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” — John 14:27

Heavenly Father, we come before You seeking Your perfect peace. As we celebrate 85 years, we ask that Your peace would reign in our hearts, calming any anxieties and filling us with contentment. Help us to trust in Your unfailing love and to find our rest in You. May our lives be a testament to the peace that only You can provide. Amen.

Prayers for Sue McNamara Fowler

Just heard the sad news that Sue McNamara Fowler has been diagnosed with moderate-stage Alzheimer's and will remain with her daughter in Alabama.  Please keep Sue in your thoughts and prayers.  Also, to all of our classmates who are having health issues at our age, in our mid-80s.  God bless her and all our classmates.
