Ethel T. Kendrick died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 69. Born in New Orleans, she was the daughter of the late Wiley G. Towne and Ethel Morrissey Towne. Mrs. Kendrick was a 1962 graduate of St. Francis Xavier Academy, later attending Hinds Community College and was a graduate of the Vicksburg School of Cosmetology. She served as a secretary of St. Francis Xavier Academy for 15 years. She was later employed with U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Human Resources Division. Mrs. Kendrick was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church, serving as a past president of the St. Paul Altar Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Katherine Towne.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Kendrick of Vicksburg; her daughter, Connie Kendricks Miller of Hattiesburg; her son, Jimmy Kendrick, Jr. (Ginny) of Brandon; four grandchildren, Katelyn Miller, Mary Claire Kendrick, Katherine Kendrick and Isabella Jeffers; and her sister Mittie Towne Warren (James) of Vicksburg.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. today at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Farrell, pastor, as celebrant. Visitation will be at the church today from 1:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Syd Johnston, Jerome Curro, Riley Nelson, John Robert Price, Warren Guider and Jerrell Strawn.
