Class of 1959

We, the Class of 1959, celebrated our 50th class reunion on April 24 and 25, 2009. This blog is about sharing memories of our class reunions and a long ago life at our Alma Mater's, S.F.X.A. and S.A.H.S. Good memories of days gone by but not forgotten! A gift to my classmates. ~Marian Love Phillips ~

The Agenda

We are celebrating from August, 2010 to May, 2011. We kicked off the celebration with the Car for Christmas Raffle, that started August 2nd and runs thru Dec. 10th.

Next is Mercy Day, September 24th when we have a schoolwide Mass honoring the Sisters of Mercy.

Sept. 30th (Thurs.) - is the School's Homecoming Parade. We were encouraging any Alumni that could to have a float in the parade. We are celebrating the 150 years all school year, so we were hoping to make this a big parade. Following the Parade there will be a Pep Rally in the St. Al gym. The parade usually begins at 5:00, but we do not have a confirmed time yet.

October 1st (Friday) - Homecoming Football Game vs. Dexter - Homecoming Court will be presented at halftime.

The brochure for the Mega Reunion Week-end is being printed at the Printer's this week. We are going to try really hard to get that mailed out next week so that everyone can see the itinerary for October 29th & 30th and also see what hotels will be offering good rates!

MEGA REUNION WEEK-END!

October 29th (Friday) - Block Party, Football vs. West Lincoln, & Teams of the Century & Sports Hall of Fame inductees will be honored before the game and during half-time.

October 30th (Saturday) - Tours, Air Show, Sisters of Mercy Silver Tea, Mass at St. Paul, and Gala w/ Memory Lane!

I hope this helps. The brochure will explain everything in detail. I am going to forward you a copy of the ad we ran on Saturday, July 31st in another email. That has a good bit of detail also.

Let me know if you need anything else, and thank you for all of your help!
