Color Is Good

Yesterday I went to the doctor
For my yearly physical.
My blood pressure was high ...
My cholesterol was high ...

I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot.
My doctor said eating right doesn't
 have to be complicated
and it would solve my physical
problems.

He said: Just think in colors.
Fill your plate with bright colors.
Try some greens, oranges, reds,
maybe something blue,
Etc.

So I went right home and ate an entire bowl of...

And sure enough, I felt better immediately.
I never knew eating right could be so easy!!!

Right To Life

Dear Classmates,

"Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights-- for example, the right to health, to home, to family, to culture-- is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination." This was stated by Pope John Paul II in his post-synodal apostolic exhortation Christifideles laici.

Where will you spend eternity? Where will our Catholic legislators spend eternity? It is God's call. He is merciful but also just. Do you recognize any of these names-- Biden, Casey, Dodd, Durbin, Harkin, Kerry, Landrieu, Leahy, McCaskill Menendez, Mikulski, Salazar alnd these are just the Senate Democrats!!!

Do not accept your senators and representatives voting for the Federal funding of abortion. Let them know that choices have consequences. It is almost a year since our 50th Graduation Alumni party. The Right To Life issue may be a pivotal key in this up coming vote.

Alabama Chapter

Rhys Sirjane, Dickie Matherne, Walter Little and Phillip Dorion.

This picture was sent to me today by our classmate, Phillip Dorion, of the latest picture taken from their last meeting in Alabama. He said, "We met at SAW’s BBQ in Birmingham. The gentleman on the left in the picture is Rhys Sirjane. He was with Dickie at Carr Central until he went to school at Chamberlin Hunt. He presently lives in Birmingham but will be moving to Baton Rouge at the end of April. Once again we plan on meeting again in a couple of months and if anyone knows of any other classmates in Alabama, let us know. We are looking for persons that graduated from either Vicksburg or Warren County schools around 1959. Also if anyone in Mississippi is interested in meeting with us, let us know. We would enjoy having more persons at our meetings. The meetings are fun and there is a lot of “do you remember…” moments.
