Class of 1959

We, the Class of 1959, celebrated our 50th reunion on April 24 and 25, 2009. This blog is about sharing memories of our class reunions and a long-ago life at our Alma Mater, S.F.X.A. and S.A.H.S. Good memories of days gone by but not forgotten! A gift to my classmates. ~Marian Ann Love ~

Experiences at SAHS ~ Michael

Michael J. Hosemann ~ The Brothers gave us a liberal education. They demanded the mastery of the basics. They taught us the 4 R's: (1) Reading--so that we could comprehend the world. (2) Writing--to help us communicate professionally; (3) Arithmetic (and science)--so that we could put our physical world into perspective and (4) Religion--giving us the building blocks for deepening our faith, our spiritual lives and our character. The Brothers modeled a life of prayer, of service to boys and of spirituality for us. I admired them so much that I joined them for nine years.
