Class of 1959

We, the Class of 1959, celebrated our 50th reunion on April 24 and 25, 2009. This blog is about sharing memories of our class reunions and a long-ago life at our Alma Mater, S.F.X.A. and S.A.H.S. Good memories of days gone by but not forgotten! A gift to my classmates. ~Marian Ann Love ~

50th Class Reunion~Becky

~Class of 1958~
Rebecca Josephine Bell
After graduation Becky attended college at Cornell University and received a BA Degree. She also received an advanced degree from St. John's College (Masters Degree); attended University of Chicago (Fellowship) and the University of Oxford (Seminar).

Over the years she has worked for NBC News (former Network Correspondent, Paris Bureau Chief and a Director at NBC Washington)

She is retired from NBC.

She now enjoys continuing to learn (graduate courses - seminars), small dinner parties with friends, caring for animals and music.

Her favorite teacher was Sister Mary Rita who introduced her to the joys of reading.

Some of her favorite school memories are how caring the nuns were and what a good education they gave her. Also, being a cheerleader, learning to play the piano and making great friends.

A few things about her life is that she worked 24/7 for 23 years, of which 8 were in Paris. She traveled (for work) Europe, North Africa, The Middle East and Russia. She is now enjoying this terrific time of no deadlines and time with friends and loved ones.

Becky recently married George Curlin and lives in Bethesda, MD.
